Sustainalytics is looking for a Data Scientist for it’s Bucharest headquarter. The data team services the needs of internal and external clients. It aggregates, analysis, modifies and validates data, maintains data and builds tools and solutions that allow users to gain intelligence out of this data. The data team is an important safeguard of the quality of data and operates as part of the Sustainalytics ICT team.
Requirements
- Master degree in mathematics or informatics;
- Strong analytical skills including data QA knowledge/experience;
- Excellent SQL skills;
- Python, R, Spark or Power BI skills;
- Relevant (2Y+) work experience;
- Strong English skills (C2 or above);
- Adaptable, creative, autonomous, solution driven personality and mindset;
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability;
- Good understanding of BIG DATA/HADOOP concepts and infrastructure is considered an asset;
- Good understanding of financial market data and financial instruments is considered an asset;
- Good understanding of corporate fundamental data and company reference data is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
The data scientist will support the data team in its daily operations by:
- Working with other teams for setting up data validation rules prior to ingestion in our systems;
- Set-up, monitor and report the changes (logs) for the datapoints stored in internal systems;
- Process ad-hoc data change/maintenance requests;
- Develop and maintain custom tools for data processing and analysis;
- Develop and maintain process documents, data flow diagrams and guidance documents for developed tools and assigned tasks;
- Contributes to projects and product development;
- Contributes to building and maintaining the functionality of the data infrastructure;
- Creates/contributes to building data exchange solutions;
- Contributing to the development of the internal data architecture and data model.
